Band Parents

Band Parents are typically very involved with the band. This is especially true during marching season when kids are putting in huge efforts to prepare for competition. Every parent loves to hear their child perfom. The Band Boosters is an organization that supports the band and its staff. They help with fund raising and other events like the Band Carnival to help reduce expenses for the kids. Most of the parents develop a real friendship with the other parents as all our kids are competing and meeting challenges together. Vist the Band Booster page for more details.

Why Band

Musical training offers benefits in brain development, creativity, and coordination, along with broadening horizons, introducing other cultures, and helping to teach discipline. Fine and gross motor skills can be improved along with goals of sharing, co-operation, encouragement, good listening skills and better concentration. The band really acts like a school ambassador, travelling to other schools and bringing aural enjoyment to all during holiday programs, concerts, and competitions.
